Syntegon has announced the expansion of their pharmaceutical processing and packaging portfolio with the acquisition of Azbil Telstar, enhancing their capabilities in lyophilized vial filling. This acquisition strengthens Syntegon and Nupac’s position in the pharmaceutical industry even further allowing us to provide manufacturers with complete and integrated solutions including vial filling, isolator technology, freeze dryers, and services from a single source.
Headquartered in Terrassa, Spain, Telstar is a key player in the life and health science industries, with a workforce of around 900 employees and production plants in Spain, China, and the UK. Their expertise in freeze-dryers and loading/unloading systems perfectly complements Syntegon’s leading vial filling and isolator solutions.
With the acquisition of Telstar, we will enhance our portfolio of innovative technologies and many successful references in the market. Our customers will benefit from even more comprehensive solutions, seamless processes, and lifecycle services
Torsten Türling, CEO of the Syntegon Group.
Further to this, Jordi Puig, CEO of Telstar commented “For Telstar, the incorporation into the Syntegon Group represents a great opportunity to ensure stable business development and future growth. We look forward to bringing our knowledge, expertise, and high-value technologies for aseptic manufacturing to the joint portfolio and to becoming part of the Syntegon team, backed by a shared business culture”.
This is an exciting acquisition by Syntegon and helps to strengthen the leading solutions provided by Nupac throughput Australia and New Zealand.
