With a commitment to provide $60 million worth of support for the Australian manufacturing industry, the Victorian government is offering up to $500k worth of funding to support projects which help manufacturing businesses innovate and grow.
The Business Development Program issued by the Victorian Government will fund up to 33% of the purchase and commissioning of capital equipment, manufacturing product and process improvements, and supply chain capability development.
By helping growing businesses implement new manufacturing technology, machinery and processes, this grant will support the competitiveness of Victorian businesses in key industries and assist in the creation of new jobs.
Although this grant is specifically focused on the Victorian market, there is a commitment to provide support nationwide. The government have also shown a strong commitment to the manufacturing industry with previous grants in NSW as well as national Research and Development Tax Incentives.
Business Development Program – Are you eligible?
- Registered in Victoria, with an operating presence in Victoria
- Employ at least 20 FTE* (full-time equivalent) staff or have an annual turnover of greater than $1.5 million (preference will be given to applicants that employ less than 200 people)
- Currently engaged in manufacturing or the manufacturing supply chain or demonstrate a genuine commercial connection to the manufacturing supply chain.
